Wedding Details Commonly Missed
PART ONE
Lighting
Lighting is the number one detail I see being forgotten (when I’m not the planner 😜).
As indoor weddings have the infrastructure already in place, outside weddings don’t normally have light fixtures in all the ares you may need some extra lighting.
For example
I was hired as the Day-Of Coordinator for a beautiful outdoor fall wedding of about 150 guests.
The couple chose to plan everything themselves and while they did an incredible job (it ain’t easy), one important factor was not considered: lighting around the buffet table at the rehearsal dinner.
The sun had set about 15 minutes after dinner started and it didn’t take long to figure out that we didn't have any extra lighting around the serving table. As you can imagine, this made it rather difficult to see our pates as we were putting together our meals!
There were no extra available extension cords to add some good, strong lighting, so I found a ton of extra candles and lit that table up!! (With light, not fire😉)
